When I decided to begin my cookie adventure way back when, I really didn’t know where it would take me. I couldn’t be happier with my decision than I am today. The Cookie Puzzle
Thank you so much Kim!! Great story!!!
Oh…duh…I just noticed I was supposed to tell you why I bake and how I got started….opps!
I started my cookie adventure during the big snowstorm of 2011 everthing was shut down, and I was stuck in the house for 3 days…so with time on my hands, I decided to give cookies a try, I had been reading cookie blogs for some time…so I baked and decoreated my first batch…and was totally hooked from that moment on!
I love to bake because I enjoy the happiness it brings to me and my family. One of my first memories is of helping my grandmother make cookies.
I have always love baking and now I am baking for all my friends and coworkers. i love to create recently i have been focused on cookies, i think they were meant for me…
I know the feeling MaryAnn!!!
I started cookie decorating early this year and now all I think about are cookies! I love seeing the smiles of the recipients.
Me too Claudia!!!!
I love all things creative and I love baking, so making decorated iced sugar cookies is perfect for me. Several years ago I made a batch of fall leaf cookies for a friend for a party she was having and had so much fun. The next day I had three calls for cookies for people who had been there and it’s been uphill from there!
Awesome!!! Sounds like you are definitely doing what you were meant to!!!
Woo-hoo! Congratulations Lorraine! 2,000 is an awesome milestone and you deserve it! Super happy for you and love seeing all your beautiful cookies and wonderful enthusiasm.
Thank you so much Cristin for your sweet comments!!!!
I like to bake because that’s how I show my love. My mom instilled a strong love of tradition and food connects me to my family – deceased and otherwise. Weird, but it’s just how I look at it. Anyway, I love reading your FB updates and am soooo looking forward to this giveaway!! Congratulations, Lorraine!! You deserve it! <3
Thank you so much Claudia for your sweet post!
I love to bake with my daughter because it is a bonding experience! I started baking for fun with my mom when I was a little girl, quit for a bit, them started again when I had my daughter.
I have always loved to bake, but in the last year I have gotten into decorating cookies and I LOVE it. I can be as creative as I like, then give them away lol!
I am a cake decorator, but have gotten into cookies, love the things you can do with a cookie. Thanks for a chance to win.
I got into baking 11 years ago when I couldn’t find a bakery to make me my own 3-tier shaped wedding cake cookie for my own wedding…In 2009, after years of baking cookies for friends and family, I went into business selling the cookies that I had the joy and pleasure of making for people. It always warms my heart to give cookies to someone that appreciates them and most importantly, baking these cookies has given me numerous occasions to help raise money for charities and fundraisers. Continue doing what you’re doing Lorraine, and success will follow you anywhere you go.
Bravo on 2000+ fans!!
Many years ago I began baking plain sugar cookies for our work lounge. Folks were coming up to me telling me how much they loved my cookies. Years passed until one day I thought I wanted more on those little sweet bites. I discovered a whole new passion and friends once I began this journey. Now my family and friends beg for my sweet delights. I love the simple joy it gives to others when they take a bite. Congrats on hitting 2000 fans, you are well deserving of it.
This is such a great giveaway! Congrats on hitting 2,000 fans, what an amazing accomplishment!! I started baking many many years ago, but didn’t really start doing it often until about 2 1/2 years ago. I love baking because I love being creative and seeing the finished results!
I started baking as a way to save money on our wedding (500 cupcakes was quite a kick in the pants!) and I haven’t stopped since! Thanks for this great giveaway!
I remember baking with my mother at the holidays
Congrats on your achievements!! We really are so lucky to work in an industry that is so giving and friendly! Best wishes on your continued success!
Great giveaway and congratulations on reaching over 2000!!!
I started baking when I was tall enough to reach the stove top. My grandmother taught me most of what I know about baking. When I was 10 or so I knew I wanted to be a baker when I grew up. Now, 30 years later I’m finally doing it.
I love to bake because I love being creative and making people happy!
I love to bake because it’s one of my happy places…..you know the place that takes you away from all the drama and stress in your life…..a place where you can simply be happy. Baking does that for me……I wouldn’t be sane without it!
Thanks for doing this giveaway! Congrats on your success, I’m glad you do what you do!
I was lucky to have a mom as well as 2 grandmothers who set a GREAT example of baking. My mom’s specialty was a simple chocolate chip cookie, my maternal gramma made some KICK BUTT brownies and my paternal grandmother was known for her amazing rhubarb pies…..I am a lucky girl!!
I mainly started when i became a mom. I love to bake with my kids it’s something I’ve done since they were old enough to help especially during the holidays but i also love to just bake alone it give me time to just relax and zone out from all the craziness that can happen with 4 amazing kids lol. I’m new at this level of “baking” and I want to learn how to make/decorate amazing cookies like yours and other peoples I’ve seen, it’s inspired me and has made me a little obsessive lately but I’m determined to learn little by little along with cake decorating! Thanks for holding this amazing giveaway and Congrats on hitting 2000 fans
I have just picked up cookie decorating and I’m so excited!!! I’m a SAHM and used to do cakes, but cookies are so much more exciting!!! Congrats on all your fans!!!
This is an amazing, amazing giveaway, Lorraine! wow! Thanks for the awesome opportunity!!! You are so wonderful!
I have actually not been much of a baker my entire life but finally mastered a sugar cookie that wouldn’t crack your teeth last fall and immediately started on my decorating obsession! It is the BEST thing I’ve ever done for myself. I agree with you. The cookie community makes this such a fun, rewarding and loving place to spend time that I am grateful every single day for it! I’m so glad to have met you through cookies!!! Congratulations, again, on your milestone! It is so very well-deserved!

Thank you Laurie!!! So glad I met you!!!
I love to bake because it calms me on a bad day and people smile more when eating homemade desserts. I got started when I really wanted to make good Santa cookies with the kids and they came out horrible so I vowed to learn the right way.
I enjoy baking memories . . . One cookie at a time. Congrats on 2000! Your designs are certainly crowd pleasers.
Thank you so much Carroll’s Cookies n Crumbs!!!
I started baking when I was little. I didn’t like commercial hard cookies and stale cakes so i made my own..now I bake with my girls and its a great bonding time!!
Sounds like a great motivator Tiffani!!!!
I love your website! So cute! I love the creative side of baking & the perks of people trying different flavors they might not have tried before.
Thank you so much The Baked Equation!!!!
What an giveaways!! I wish I had facebook for additional entries (at least for this), but I can’t bring myself to sign up. Oh well… Maybe my one little entry will have good luck?!
I have been baking since I was a kid and I do it because I enjoy it and I love serving my food to others!
I started baking years ago when my children were little. Over the last 9 months I have taken cookies more seriously and I’m loving it. Especially when I get to give them to unexpecting recipients.
baked since i was 12. loved watching my mom bake growing up.
I love baking wheat free and dairy free cupcakes that everyone can enjoy! Now I’m just waiting for the Food Cottage Law to pass in WI so I can start my business : )
Congrats on such a great milestone!!!! You do beautiful work!!!!
Hi Lorraine,
Thanks for the fun giveaway!! I got hooked on cookieing around Valentines when I came across some cute little hearts by Glorious Treats. Before that all my baking consisted of homemade pies and squares because actually rolling and cutting cookie dough totally intimidated me.
I love to offer others freshly baked goods that are both delicious and beautiful! It’s great to make another person’s day special with a hand made creation. I got started when I was a teenager, but have become more serious in the last year, when I set out to make my niece a set of Tinkerbell Wand Cookie favors.
Baking is amazing!! I love starting with a bunch of ingredients and turning them into something to be enjoyed and savored!
And there is nothing like cookies fresh out of the oven!
I have been baking for as long as I can remember and over the years have baked for family, friends, charity, clubs, support groups, and one group of guys that is dear to my hear…the recruiters at our local USMC station.
(I have 2 Marines and all their friends can’t wait for the “cookie mom” boxes to show up!
And congrats on 2000!!!
And thank you!!!
What a wonderful giveaway!
Long time fan! Congratulations on 2000!!!
I love to bake because it fills the need to share with other people. There is no greater satisfaction than the look on someones face when they bite into the perfect (or not so perfect) bit of sugary goodness. I also love the challenge of turning a cookie into something people declare as to beautiful to eat…then get to watch them devour it.
2000 congratulations!!! And here’s to 2000 more!!!
As for baking, it basically all started watching and reading all you talented ladies do your magic. Before I knew it I was addicted to pans, icing bottles and wet-on-wet! Now everything translates into cookies for me. You ladies are all amazing!
Congratulations on reaching over 2000 on your facebook page! And, thank you for helping me to reach that goal also. I really appreciated your help.
How did I get started in this crazy world of cookies? I worked as a cookie decorator for Cookies by Design for almost four years. Before taking that job I had no experience at all with cake or cookie decorating…never even held a pastry bag in my hand. My job interview was to decorate two cookies. I did it! and I got the job. Due to some shenanigans going on on the corporate level, and health reasons the woman who owned the store was forced to close her doors. Unable to find a job I decided to put all that I learned on the job into my own business. That was three years ago. Since then I’ve learned so much from so many wonderfully talented gals on the internet. The cookie and caking communities are so wonderful. So many folks willing to share their knowledge and experience with everyone else. I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Felicidades, excelente manera de festejar. Congratulations
I love to bake because everything tastes delicious afterwards! Well, unless I add to much of something (or too little), which I do occasionally if I’m splitting a recipe in half or doubling it. I started baking around 9 years old so for about 5 years, unfortunately I still make as much a mess now as I did then. My goal is to become a cupcake/cake maker/decorator and go to the culinary/baking school in Chicago. And since my mom is a huge time cookier she’ll be able to make cookies to go with my cakes, and if I somehow win this giveaway I’ll be giving everything to her
Oh and congratulations 2,000 fans!
I bake because it’s a create outlet for me. I find it relaxing, yet stressful…in a “good” sort of way, LOL!
Congrats on the 2000 fans, Lorraine!! I’ve been a fan since I joined to community last December. I love baking and decorating and learning from you and the other wonderful friends I’ve made here!! ♥
Congrats on 2000, Lorraine! This is only the beginning:)
Congrats Lorraine!!
I’ve always baked for friends & family for Christmas. They would tell me, “you should do this as a buisness”. I always laughed it off saying, “well then it would be work and I wouldn’t like it”. lol So far, I like it. lol I was an art major in school but I never thought my canvas would be a cookie!!
Michelle
I have loved baking as long as I can remember. I used to make cookies with my mom. Special memories.
I love to bake because cookies take me to my “happy place”! Congrats on 2000!!
Happy 2000! My Grandson, Vinny is now two years old, and I LOVE his reaction when he comes to visit “Grammy” and I give him a cookie decorated especially for him. I can’t wait till we can bake and decorate cookies together.
