I never thought I would meet such incredible people and come across such amazing talent when I made this cookie journey a couple of years ago. Anne from Flour Box Bakery is one such person – she is sweet, talented, and full of incredible ideas !!! Anne posed the challenge to us – Pick up a copy of the latest issue of Bride’s magazine, find your inspiration, and create one , two or twenty cookies that represented a different theme – for example, Traditional Wedding favors, Bridesmaids favors, etc. I chose Traditional Wedding Favors combined with Destination. I was inspired by so many pages of the magazine, but it was primarily The Mediterranean WEdding on page 267 where I got my color palette and patterns from. I loved the simplicity of the cake and deep but vibrant hues like the corals and blues, and golds. What was challenging about this project was that I had a certain idea in my mind but sometimes my execution did not entirely match that, but sometimes it exceeded my expectations too. This happened with my bouquet – originally I was going to create a multi-colored, multi-flowered bouquet but didn’t like the way it turned out , so I started on another with the same hues and absolutely loved the way it turned out. I hope you enjoy my own collection of Wedding Cookies, but the Wedding collections of each and every incredible designer too. They are so amazing I keep going back to look at them numerous times. I think almost everyone can agree that Weddings are always so special and exciting, even when they aren’t our own!!! Enjoy the Bridal Project!
